Absolutely precious photos that this family will cherish forever. As hard as this may be for some to view, it brings peace to others. When my sister lost my niece a week before she was due, it was extremely hard and emotional......still is. As a photographer, I am not sure that I could be strong enough to take on such a job. In fact, I knew I wouldnt be able to do it for my sister. We were all there to comfort my sister and my brother-in-law through the most difficult thing they had ever faced. I held my niece and through tears begged for her to open her eyes. No one will ever know the pain my sister and her husband felt that day, but the pain I felt was so strong, it took my breathe away. Then I look at my sister, who is 11 years younger than me and only hope that I can have her strength one day. When she asked for photos to document the arrival, I knew I could not be the one, I was not strong enough. I called a sweet dear friend of mine Stefanie Mallow Russell and she dropped EVERYTHING to be there for my sister and my family. I know it could not have been easy for her, but she stayed strong and captured amazing priceless pictures of the arrival. Thank you to all of the photographers who go deeper than just snapping a few photos, you develop friendships through your clients.
