Abu Hurairah narrated, Faith (Belief) consists of more than sixty branches (i.e. parts). And Haya is a part of faith [see Bukhari] Haya covers a large number of concepts; amongst them are self respect, modesty, bashfulness, and shame. Nations before us were told, if you feel no shame, then do as you wish [see Nawawis 40] As haya is a characteristic that keeps us away from sins, let us implement some haya into our lives, inshaAllah! (a reminder to myself first and foremost, inshaAllah) Allahu Akbar!
