Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Let not one of you belittle himself.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, how does one belittle himself?” The Prophet said, “He finds a matter regarding Allah about which he should speak up but he does not. Allah the Exalted will say to him on the Day of Resurrection: What prevented you from speaking up about such-and- such? He will say: It was out of fear of the people. Allah will say: Rather, it is I who deserved to be feared.” Source: Sunan Ibn Majah 4008 Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Ash-Shawkani ﻋَﻦْ ﺃَﺑِﻲ ﺳَﻌِﻴﺪٍ ﻗَﺎﻝَ ﻗَﺎﻝَ ﺭَﺳُﻮﻝُ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪِ ﺻَﻠَّﻰ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪُ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻪِ ﻭَﺳَﻠَّﻢَ ﻟَﺎ ﻳَﺤْﻘِﺮْ ﺃَﺣَﺪُﻛُﻢْ ﻧَﻔْﺴَﻪُ ﻗَﺎﻟُﻮﺍ ﻳَﺎ ﺭَﺳُﻮﻝَ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪِ ﻛَﻴْﻒَ ﻳَﺤْﻘِﺮُ ﺃَﺣَﺪُﻧَﺎ ﻧَﻔْﺴَﻪُ ﻗَﺎﻝَ ﻳَﺮَﻯ ﺃَﻣْﺮًﺍ ﻟِﻠَّﻪِ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻪِ ﻓِﻴﻪِ ﻣَﻘَﺎﻝٌ ﺛُﻢَّ ﻟَﺎ ﻳَﻘُﻮﻝُ ﻓِﻴﻪِ ﻓَﻴَﻘُﻮﻝُ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪُ ﻋَﺰَّ ﻭَﺟَﻞَّ ﻟَﻪُ ﻳَﻮْﻡَ ﺍﻟْﻘِﻴَﺎﻣَﺔِ ﻣَﺎ ﻣَﻨَﻌَﻚَ ﺃَﻥْ ﺗَﻘُﻮﻝَ ﻓِﻲ ﻛَﺬَﺍ ﻭَﻛَﺬَﺍ ﻓَﻴَﻘُﻮﻝُ ﺧَﺸْﻴَﺔُ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺱِ ﻓَﻴَﻘُﻮﻝُ ﻓَﺈِﻳَّﺎﻱَ ﻛُﻨْﺖَ ﺃَﺣَﻖَّ ﺃَﻥْ ﺗَﺨْﺸَﻰ 4008 ﺳﻨﻦ ﺍﺑﻦ ﻣﺎﺟﻪ ﻛِﺘَﺎﺏ ﺍﻟْﻔِﺘَﻦِ ﻻ ﻳﺤﻘﺮ ﺃﺣﺪﻛﻢ ﻧﻔﺴﻪ ﺍﻟﻤﺤﺪﺙ ﺍﻟﺸﻮﻛﺎﻧﻲ ﺧﻼﺻﺔ ﺣﻜﻢ ﺍﻟﻤﺤﺪﺙ ﺭﺟﺎﻝ ﺇﺳﻨﺎﺩﻩ ﺛﻘﺎﺕ
