One of the faculty advisors on my campus sent this to his caseload: Dear students, especially freshmen, - If you do not get your freshman advising holds released you will have a late registration window. - If you have a late registration window, you will get a terrible class schedule. - Terrible class schedule means the only job you can get is as a mime at childrens parties. - Miming for childrens parties will make all your friends consistently make fun of you. - Being made fun of constantly will lead you to withdraw from others, drop out of school, and join a traveling circus. - Traveling circus performers have a high incidence of being trampled by elephants. - Dont be a mime, get your holds released on time! I will have open office hours tomorrow (Friday ) from 11-500pm. Drop in and have your hold removed if you have not done so already. Dickson 219. Be sure to knock hard on the imaginary door before entering. Those who come in mime uniform will receive a special treat.
