According to Chenoweth（a political scientist in university of Denver), there are four basic things that make non-violent resistance movements likely to succeed. They are: The size and diversity of the movement: (運動規模及多樣性） how many people are involved in the movement and whether theyre broadly representative of different groups and social classes. Staying power（持久力）: they can keep protests going, avoiding both fatigue and repression. Diversity of tactics（策略多樣性）: they dont just protest but also use strategies such as mass boycotts and strikes.
