According to Facebook, the all-knowing source of everything, it is my birthday. As I was driving in to work this morning, my mind was on my mom. Moms should be celebrated on birthdays. They are the ones that go through all that grief and pain just to get us into the world. I still remember her laughing eyes, her hugs, her wonderful cooking (no cookbook, just throw in and taste), her prayer life, her unconditional love. She left us too soon; God must have heard her when she said she dreaded growing old. So...today I celebrate my mom, what a wonderful gift she was to me.
