According to TuttoMercato Liverpool have agreed to pay Ajax £18million for the 21-year-old, and it appears the Dutch side will allow the Merseysiders to talk to the player. AC Milan were believed to be favourites for the midfielder, but Liverpool’s firm offer has seen them jump ahead of the Serie A club. With Siem de Jong committing his future to Ajax, manager Frank De Boer was hoping Eriksen would remain for at the least the final year of his contract, but has admitted it is down to the player whether he wants to move to Liverpool. (This could really be an amazing signing if we pull it off, it would show everyone we still have what it takes to get top players and that we are competition for the top 4!)
