According to a French news source in Luxembourg, 124News, [11/23/14], in an article entitled, Palestinians to appeal to UN for statehood recognition by the end of the week, the Palestinian Authority will appeal to the UN Security Council by November 29 for recognition of the State of Palestine. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said that he would be willing to send military forces to Gaza and the West Bank to help stabilize a new state. In Europe, the UK, Spain, Sweden and other countries have recently recognized the State of Palestine, while the U.S. still opposes it. Angela Merkel of Germany said that Germany will NOT recognize a Palestinian State before its actual recognition at the U.N., which is tantamount to an E.U. veto. Nevertheless, the P.A. is gaining traction in world opinion, and Israel is facing increased opposition. The Egyptian move suggests a 1-year deadline for Israeli withdrawal to the 1967 borders, to November, 2015, but that date is arbitrary. In the light of Bible prophecy, a SEVEN-YEAR agreement is inevitable. I expect to see something materialize eventually that will impose a 7-year time frame for Israeli withdrawal. Such an agreement could possibly qualify as the prophesied Confirmation of the Covenant of Daniel 9:27. To qualify, however, such a contract would have to be confirmed by the Prince of Rome - someone at the Vatican, or a high-ranking official of Catholic Europe.
