According to preliminary FBI from 2011 (which is the latest year they have compiled info for) there is a : murder every 36 seconds, a forcible rape every 6.3 minutes, a robbery every 1.5 minutes and an aggravated assault every 42 seconds. You need to ask yourself are you training for the realities of the street or simply "doing" a martial art or sport and hoping it can save your life?
