#Aconcagua #7Summits Team report from base camp. Weather challenging up high. The three day trek in went smoothly and all is well. Below report today. From Sean, Ian and Paddy. WE are now in Plaza Argentina 4200m, we are all doing well, taking our time to acclimatize, the three of us are going to go further up about 150 m this afternoon.Base camp is great - the views are amazing. Lots of teams here. big Norwegian team with all the latest gear. We are also linked up with another group Aussies. All logistics is working out well. The weather for the trek in was very hot - hottest ever according to Julio. We have been eating fine Argentinian beef at camp each night. The weather on the mountain has been challenging for the last few days. 130k winds on Wednesday / Thursday last...all teams were ordered off the mountain back to base camp. We met some Norwegians in Mendoza who had to turn back at 6625m. Hopefully things will improve by the time we might be positioned to make a summit attempt..
