Activists: Assad is annihilating al-Waer neighborhood which is full with refugees from other areas of Homs. Al-Waer neighborhood in Homs has been exposed to a systematic destruction after the violent attack led by Assad forces and Shiite militias a week ago, in order to control the city. Activists inside the area tried focus on what the on the regime violence to take attention of the international media which is focusing only on Kobanî. Activists insist that “People’s lives in Al-Waer are as precious as those of Kobanî because both of them are facing the same enemies. They stated that the international community should save civilians regardless of their races or origins. Al-Waer neighborhood is the current haven for more than three hundred thousand civilians. It has become a daily target for the missiles, artillery and explosive barrels of Assad forces and the sectarian militias fighting with him. Within 3 days, more than 24 civilians were killed, most of them were women and children. Activists in Al-Waer are condemning the silence of the international community and media, confirming that the people of Al-Waer didnt hesitate in providing peaceful solutions to protect the neighborhood and its residents who have been suffering from the siege for more than a year.
