Actor-Actress for TIE in France & Belgium The Emerald Isle Theatre Company (EITC) is an innovative Theatre-In-Education company that tours throughout France and Belgium. It promotes learning the English language in secondary schools through performing plays and providing workshops for pupils. We are looking for young, motivated and enthusiastic actors and actresses to take part in the 2014-2015 tour. The tour will take place from mid-November 2014 to May 2015. Criteria: Age between 18 and 28 Native English-speaker Dynamic, friendly, motivated, good team player, great rapport with teenagers Terms and conditions: Housing and transport are provided at no cost to the actor from the first day in France/Belgium while on tour (but not during the holidays)Approximately 25 weeks of tour. 1 week holiday every 6 to 8 weeks of tour (except for Christmas: 2 weeks break) Monday to Friday shows, during school hours. Wages In addition to the €500 monthly (after taxes), the actors will be paid €15 per show. The company secures an average of about 8 to 12 shows a week. Rehearsals: 6 weeks of rehearsals in October and early November divided into: - 2 weeks in Dublin, unpaid and actors must make their own accommodation arrangements. - 4 weeks in Brussels, accommodation provided and monthly salary of € 500 after taxes.
