Acts 8: 14-15. Hmm!!! Many Simons in the church today! Simon believed in the teaching of bro Philip, the question is did he give his life to Jesus Christ? This is the problem we are having in the Church today. Many people believe the words of God preach by their pastors but they have not given their lives to Christ. No wonder we have Christians with the heart of Simon in our churches who goes to church for what they can get, not to please nor do the will of God. If you are this kind of Christian, please repent for certainly God will forgive you. Simon needed the Holy Spirit for his selfish purpose. How many ministers today are free of this? Do not some ministers use the gift of God in their lives to make money? They collect money to pray for people, they give a high bill with good hotels accommodation before you can get them to preach in Churches/Crusades. Some even went to the extent of getting fake powers from the devil because they want to perform miracles and become flamboyant ministers. If you are one of these; beware!!! May I recap the words of Apostle Peter to you:......thy money perish with thee because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchases with money. Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee Vs 20 - 22. May the Lord help us to walk with Him with a pure heart in Jesus name - AMEN.
