Actually, I find the current supreme court rather disappointing. The mission of the Supreme Court is to protect the powerless from the powerful. Im not thrilled with some of their decisions when I look at them from that point of view. The founding fathers (theres that word again!) felt that to be effective at protecting the powerless from the powerful, they had to isolate the justices from politics to the extent possible. So there really is no mechanism by which ordinary people can influence the justices. By way of contrast, you may (and are encouraged to) contact the President and your senators and representatives about the issues of the day. This is the way it ought to be. So this posting is a futile gesture. However, I urge you to pass it along anyway because it is a message *to us* about a current issue of the day.
