Addressing the ever growing demand for patient care and the continued debate on the NP autonomy. Healthcare delivery is a team effort that needs the collaboration among nurses, MDs, NPs, PAs, case managers, social worker, PT/OT, PharmD etc... Addressing the article from NY times Nurses are not doctors Yes, we are not medical doctors but some of these NPs may have PhD or clinical doctorate. We need to embrace the vast clinical practices we now have, as one cannot attain the ultimate goal of quality patient care without the other. We hold different roles towards the common goal. Every practice like pharmacy, dentistry, medical doctor, and nursing offer clinical doctorate. I am a nurse, I am proud of it ;)
