Administration Building, Alma College. Old Main, as it was affectionately known for many years, was erected in 1886 by George S. Young Construction Company. Aside from administrative offices , it originally housed a large chapel, three laboratories - chemistry, biology, and physics - an art studio, a music room, several recitation rooms, and two rooms for mens literary societies. On March 10, 1969, it was destroyed by fire.
