Admission: there is a reason I send my kids to school. And it - TopicsExpress

Admission: there is a reason I send my kids to school. And it is not for education. My 3 wasteful children; it drives me absolutely psychotic to see them waste food. Cereal poured with too much milk, left languishing on the counter. Pieces of bread found rolled up from being smashed by little fists, never eaten. I discovered nearly a whole package of graham crackers stuffed in the kitchen compost container. I blew up. I took those crackers, from where they sat on top of decaying broken egg shells, fruit flies swirling around, called the kids to sit in front of me. Amazing, out of the three kids, not ONE of them knows who put that stack of crackers there. So I let them know that one of them was lying, split up those crackers, and made each kid eat their share. I also told them I hope it tasted bad, sitting in the compost pot, but if I see any more good wasted like that again, they will eat it, no matter what. I even showed them pictures of starving kids (yeah yeah yeah, you be horrified), but honestly, what does it take to get it through their heads not to waste? Starvation sessions? (No, Im not doing that, nor will I.)
