Adoption Story by Karin Wiley: I adopted my little ole man Rudy in July 2013, age 14 years old, deaf and blind, and in very bad shape. I drove 5 hours each way to pick him up in VA at the shelter where he was about to be euthanized. He stole my heart the second I saw him. I gave him care, good food and clean water, and of course always the spot right next to me. And he showered me for 10 1/2 months with unconditional love until the day he passed. I miss him like crazy. Please consider adopting a senior. They are the best.
