Adv Madonsela & I wrestled a bit on Power Talk today especially on whether she ought to tell us which senior ANC member she knows leaked her letter to JZ to the media. I wasnt personally convinced by her responses on this matter, but admire her steadfastness and consistent calm as she negotiated my questions. A great interviewee she is: you can go after her for the sake of holding even her accountable and she takes no offence Obviously if youve read my column praising her or following great reporting on her work this week across our media youd know the substantive issues she has engaged in already. I didnt intent to rehash compelling work on her part already archived everywhere. I tried to drill down instead on: 1. The leaked letter. 2. The status of recommendations of a chapter 9 institution in law. 3. A quick reaction to Afriforum laying charges against Gwede and Jessie for insulting her which violates section 9 (1) of the Public Protector Act & how she feels about this attempt to come to her rescue.
