Adventure Angler in conjunction with Temple Reef and Monster Fish - TopicsExpress

Adventure Angler in conjunction with Temple Reef and Monster Fish Expeditions, are now taking bookings to fish for big Bluefin Tuna off the coast of Ancona in Italy. Temple Reef made a scouting trip last year to test the waters, and enjoyed spectacular results on the Bluefin on topwater casting, landing multiple fish on each day of the trip including double and triple hook-ups. The typical size of Bluefin Tuna that was caught in 2014 was between 25kg to 60kg, with larger specimens present. A perfect size for those pursuing them with spinning tackle. If you want to target the bigger specimens, you can also fish with bait, which often produces fish over 100kg and occasionally specimens up to 300kgs. If the weather is not behaving, there is also the option to cast lures or troll for the elusive Leer Fish along the coast. I will be making a number of trips to Ancona to target these fish with the first being in March, and then again in April, and will be posting the results here. The best part of the fishery to me, is it can easily be done as a quick trip from London or elsewhere in Europe. I will be doing mostly weekend trips (fly down on a Friday and back on a Sunday with 2 days fishing) but extra days can easily be added. To further simplify things, the boat is fully stocked with Temple Reef Black Devil tuna rods, so you neednt take a rod tube with you or invest in a dedicated rod if you dont have one. Flights start at GBP86 return from Stansted to Ancona, and all levels of accommodation are available in Ancona, which can make for a very affordable trip. Charter costs are EUR780 per day for the boat (which can fish 1, 2 or 3 people casting) with a 50% deposit required to book. Price includes lunch, hotel pickup and 8 hours fishing. If you have any questions or would like to make a booking, please drop me a message.
