Advice Issued For: Dartmouth, Eskdale, Mitta Mitta, Little Snowy Creek Fire Origin: 58 KMS SSW OF CORRYONG Incident Name: CORRYONG - KINGS CREEK Issued: 23/01/14 7:42 AM This Advice message is being issued by Department of Environment and Primary Industries for Dartmouth, Eskdale, Mitta Mitta, Little Snowy Creek. Firefighters are responding to a fire in the 58 KMS SSW OF CORRYONG area. There is no threat to communities. Smoke will be visible from nearby communities and roads. Aircraft will be seen flying over the Mitta Mitta, Dartmouth, Eskdale and surrounding areas on their way to respond to the Corryong - Kings Creek Fire, approximately 30km north north east of Benambra. The following camping areas on Dartmouth Dam are closed and must not be accessed by either road or water: - Eustace Gap Camp - Dartmouth Track Camp. The next update is expected by 24/01/14 12:00 PM or as the situation changes. Safety Information: Review your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. If you have time check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions. If you are experiencing smoke exposure, seek medical advice or call Nurse on Call on 1300 606 024. Stay Informed: Via cfa.vic.gov.au. Tune to ABC Local Radio, commercial and designated community radio stations, or Sky News TV. Call the Victorian Bushfire Information Line (VBIL) on freecall 1800 240 667.
