Advice Issued For: Ensay, Swifts Creek, Cassilis, Brookville Fire Origin: 19KM NE DARGO Incident Name: DARGO - DANES TK Issued: 28/01/14 1:21 PM This Advice message is being issued by Department of Environment and Primary Industries for Ensay, Swifts Creek, Cassilis, Brookville. Today crews continue to work at securing control lines and patrolling the area concentrating on the southern edge of the fire. A FLIR (forward looking infra-red radar) flight will be checking these fires today for hot spots so crews can direct their blacking out work efficiently and effectively. A Total Fire Ban is in place today and the public is urged to remain informed and monitor conditions due to todays hot weather conditions. A Public Safety Zone has been declared around this fire. People are not permitted to enter or remain in the Public Safety Zone until the 31 March 2014. There are a number of forest roads and tracks that have also been closed for public safety as crews and heavy machinery work in the area. There is currently no threat to communities. Smoke may be visible from nearby communities and roads. The next update is expected by 29/01/14 10:00 AM or as the situation changes. Safety Information: Review your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. If you have time check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions.
