Advice Issued For: Pastoria East, Pastoria, Baynton, Benloch Fire Origin: PASTORIA EAST Incident Name: PASTORIA EAST Issued: 17/12/14 8:44 PM This Updated Advice message is being issued by Country Fire Authority for Pastoria East, Pastoria, Baynton, Benloch. The fire activity in the PASTORIA EAST area has been contained. There is currently no threat to communities, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions. The fire has burnt approximately 700 hectares and fire crews will remain on scene throughout the night patrolling and blacking out. Earthmoving machinery will continue to construct and strengthen the mineral earth breaks around the fire. Road information: - Baynton Road is open to all traffic - Burke & Wills Road, Darlington Road, Youngs Road and Frosts Road all have restricted local access only. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek an alternative route. Smoke will be visible from nearby communities and roads. The next update is expected by 18/12/14 10:00 AM or as the situation changes. Safety Information: Review your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. If you have time check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions. If you are experiencing smoke exposure, seek medical advice or call Nurse on Call on 1300 606 024. Drivers should take care as emergency service vehicles and heavy machinery will be constantly using these roads.
