Advice Issued For: Roses Gap, Cherrypool, Dadswells Bridge, Laharum, Ledcourt, Pomonal, Zumsteins, Wartook, Bellfield, Lake Fyans, Glenisla, Halls Gap, Brimpaen Fire Origin: 18KM SOUTH WEST OF DADSWELLS BRIDGE Incident Name: Issued: 25/01/14 10:21 AM This Advice message is being issued by Department of Environment and Primary Industries for Roses Gap, Cherrypool, Dadswells Bridge, Laharum, Ledcourt, Pomonal, Zumsteins, Wartook, Bellfield, Lake Fyans, Glenisla, Halls Gap, Brimpaen. The fire has not expanded over the past four days due to milder conditions and is now contained at 55,100 hectares with a perimeter of 257 kms. Burning out operations occurred on Wednesday afternoon using aerial incendiaries to assist in securing the south-east edge of the fire. Crews are currently focusing on securing the perimeter ahead of the hot weather forecast for next week. There is no current threat to the community. Smoke may be visible from nearby communities and roads. Motorist are requested to obey Traffic Management signs. For road closures, refer to the VicRoads website The Grampians National Park is partially open and the Grampians community welcomes visitors to return to the area, including Halls Gap, Dunkeld, Dadswells Bridge, Pomonal and other tourist areas. For further information, refer to the Parks Victoria website parks.vic.gov.au GWMWater advises that the notice to boil water issued on 17 January 2014 is now rescinded for Hall Gaps Residents. The boil water notice for Pomonal residents and residents north-east of the Ararat -Halls Gap Road and Grampians Road junction in Halls Gap remains in force until further notice.
