Advice: Surgery, that was underestimated, on left ankle, - TopicsExpress

Advice: Surgery, that was underestimated, on left ankle, completed on December 2, 2013. Post surgical nerve damage causing more pain 10 months after surgery than original complaint. Podiatrist/ Dr that performed the surgery sends me to an orthopedic to retest the nerves for repair or not over the last 5 months via electro stimulus. Not a pleasant experience. Orthopedic wants a $200.00 co-pay for the procedure. Shouldnt this procedure be considered post operative and be covered by the Podiatrist? Im tired of feeling like Im walking/ limping on Legos and eating morphine, percocet, and Valium to function. Is this a malpractice issue? Do I need to get a lawyer involved?
