Advice to the new runner: It takes 30 days to create a habit. So, in the beginning make it like school or work. Set a schedule and dont give yourself a choice. No matter what you stick to it. Keep it comfortable. Time on your feet is more important that speed or miles. There is no shame in walking or walk breaks. You should challenge yourself but if you make it an impossible task every time you run, youre not going to want to keep doing it. Ask others for advice. Try everything and decide what works best for you. Get the right shoes. Make it like a relationship..take it slow, get to know it, learn to become friends with it and eventually you will fall in love with it. :)
