African Dinosaur: President Museveni it seems will be the only Presidential candidate in Ugandas 2016 General elections. Museveni has been Ugandan president since 1986 and has seen a total of six presidents get elected and four retire in the neighboring East African countries of Kenya and Tanzania. In Kenya, Mwai Kibaki was Vice-president when Museveni romped into power in 1986, sixteen years before he became Kenyas president. He is now retired after serving 10 successful years as president. In 1986 when Museveni became president, President uhuru was a 25years old university student probably with no inclinations towards politics. If he retires in 2022, Museveni will still be President. Uhuru deputy William Ruto was 19years old when Museveni became president in 1986. He too might retire before Museveni.
