Africans are some of the most humble, generous and kind people on this earth. May Allah reward them with the best in the Jannah. Love you my dear brothers and sisters for the sake of Allah. Subhan Allah this made my day :) It reminds me of the story of our Prophet (sws) and Abu Bakr (RA). I am summarizing, When Prophet (sws) was collecting funds for one of the battles, he asked Sahabas (companions) to donate generously. Everyone donated generously but he couldnt see Abu Bakr in the line! He started looking for Abu Bakr and found him holding a tiny bag and weeping in the corner of the Masjid. He asked him why was he crying and he replied ya Rasul Allah, I am shamed to come in front of you with this little donation. He only had some wheat with him which is less than a kilo. The Prophet (sws) took his bag and announced to everyone that Abu Bakrs donation is the most valuable and loved donation to Allah and his messenger. Everyone was shocked because they donated huge amount of gold, silvers and camels. Then the Prophet asked each of them how much they kept and how much they donated. Everyone answered as they kept some for their family while they will be at war and donated rest. Then the prophet (sws) said your brother Abu Bakr had left nothing but Allah for his family and this is all he had. Brothers and sisters, when we compete with one another in building Masajids to promote ourselves, our group identity; when we build Masajids to separate ourselves from the followers of another opinions; when we build masajid to promote our nationalism and ethnic identity; when we build Masajid to promote our cultural Islam; when our leaders build thorns with gold; when our leaders order to build special airplane for their family; when our leaders build palaces with golden dome; when our leaders donate millions of dollars to make someone champion of reality shows; when our leaders invest millions of dollars to fund a war against our brothers, these people get together, dedicate their life and labor, invest everything they had to protect the house of Allah (sws) in order to please Him. What can be more beloved to Allah than this?
