After 10.30 coming up Tony and Val with A Problem Shared - Tony - TopicsExpress

After 10.30 coming up Tony and Val with A Problem Shared - Tony and Val got this letter: I have been married for 28 years with lots of ups and downs. My husband can get into very bad temper sometimes so it’s difficult to talk about any problems especially if it’s about something he has done. When things are OK, he is so nice but when it goes wrong and I ask to talk it over, he goes into a terrible rage shouting awful abuse at me so it’s best I leave it alone and try to forget the problem. ( If I keep trying to discuss it, I will be beaten.) Recently I returned home from work earlier than usual and he looked as if he were shocked and he started pulling on his jumper. He started rushing around and pretending to be tidying but I noticed he was hiding things - items of clothes, shoes and make up - owned by me and our grown up daughter who lives with us. I think I arrived just as he was about to put them on. I’ve had my suspicions in the past about my clothes being moved but I suppose I didn’t want to believe it. I feel sick he would go through our daughter’s wardrobe. I just don’t know how to deal with this. I’ve often heard that some men like to dress up in women’s clothes. Do you think this is a sign of more serious problems? Do I tell our daughter about this? Or do I just try and forget about it? Our daughter knows there is something wrong again as he always acts childish when he’s caught out. He goes into a sulk and hardly speaks or he goes into a rage at the slightest thing. She knows about some issues of the past e.g. calling inappropriate hotlines. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanking you, Upset listener.
