After 32 years of being unable to do so because of many life - TopicsExpress

After 32 years of being unable to do so because of many life events, I have decided I would like to return to college and earn my bachelors degree. After my discharge from the U.S.Navy, I attended Pensacola (Fl) Jr. College, majoring in Political Science, and earned an A.A. degree in May 1982. In 2002, I attended 1 sememster at Patrick Henry Community College, taking 12 credit hours of Legal Assisting classes and making the Deans List. I would like to continue my major in Political Science, but Im wondering if I should include the Legal Assisting. Being on a fixed income, I really cant afford, and dont want, a student loan, so using grants and scholorships is my preferred path. Yesterday I mailed an application to Roanoke College and sent requests for transcripts to the other colleges Ive attended. Roanoke College would be great, since it is local, and the bus goes right by there. However, I may not be able to afford it, since it is a private college. Another option is Virginia Tech, and the local bus system also has a bus that goes from downtown Roanoke to the Squires Ctr. at Tech about a dozen times a day. A third option is Mary Baldwin College, which has a satelite campus here in Roanoke at the Higher Education Ctr. downtown. I would like to ask everyone for prayers, suggestions, recommendations, and even more prayer as I attempt this next chapter of my life.
