After Carl Sagan got through declaring that the Cosmos is all that ever was, is or will be according to the materialists presuppositions, he explained in their view about a singularity which existed without time. He opined that the cosmos was in perfect, inert, harmony in the moment prior to the Big Bang. Sagan wholeheartedly believed that everything that exists can eventually be explained as a natural, scientific cause and effect. So a Christian like myself asked him about the law of inertia. He asked Sagan whether or not he affirmed the idea that an object at rest, stays at rest unless acted upon by an outside force. Sagan absolutely agreed. Then the Christian asked him what was the outside force that acted upon the resting, inert singularity? To which Sagan was said to have gotten a sour-puss look on his face and said he no longer wanted to talk to him. True story supposedly. Typical, sadly, too. People who deny the reality of God being the source and power and sustainer of all life and every element that makes up the sum and substance of all that was, is and ever will be, always get caught up in their own contradictions, no matter how clever or influential they are. The outside force who said let their be light was the cause of all causes and is the end reason for our existence too. We need to remember this as Sagans legacy has reared its head again on a revived Cosmos program on cable TV which restates all his lies and misgivings once again, to attempt to mislead our kids too just like those lies tried to do to many of us.
