In October of 2011 a major wildfire destroyed 27,000 acres in The Wichita Mountain Wildlife refuge, OK. Today (taken Sept 2014), the refuge thrives and the memories remain as the chard trees with scars from the fire still stand to share their tales. Nature is resilient, but we must not take her for granted, and treat her with respect. Enjoy
