After a deliberate daylight assault against an enemy occupying known, fortified tactical positions of advantage, against numerical superiority (nearly 20 enemy to our 1), the men of Charlie Company, 1st BN, 3rd SFG seized and held Sperwan Ghar. Even after a counter attack and three deliberate assaults on the position we never surrendered it. From top to bottom: an SF vehicle during the battle. Next, a picture to show how close the enemy came to overrunning our hill. Less than a football field. Thirdly, a picture of our AF Combat Controllers bringing in close air support. Finally, the vehicle carrying SFC Mishura and SFC Stube. By the grace of God, both men survived but were badly injured.
