After a fabulous aussie beach barbeque last night, this morning we woke up in Vansittart Bay. After breakfast we hopped in Xplorer and headed over to Jar Island – where there were a few different Bradshaw rock art sites, some a fairly easy walk up some escarpments, some a scramble! It’s amazing to think about how long this art has been here and the lives the people of the Kimberley must have led thousands of years ago. After a quick morning tea, we headed over to Anjo Peninsula, where the remnants of a downed C-53 Sky Trooper which crash landed in 1942 can be found. The wreck is still in excellent condition, especially considering the harsh environment it has been in for some 70 odd years! This afternoon we are cruising onwards, and in a bit guest lecturers Martin Cohen and Ian Morris will hold a discussion on the issue of cane toads. - Jenn
