After a month break I actually went fishing today ! 60 mile drive , only trouble was the lake was frozen , after breaking enough half inch thick ice to make a gap fishable I started netting out the ice , got to the last scoop lifted it out turned round to tip it onto the removed pile and my bloody landing net broke ! Fished for nearly 3 hours without a bite (except my sarnies) then packed up as it was starting to refreeze again only to find my landing net handle was jammed together so had to drive home with it going from boot to front windscreen on a diagonal . just managed to get it apart with help from my nephew and brother in law . Oh well new net tomorrow and try again , somewhere else .
