After about three weeks I have opened my FB. As I checked the home page, I found in the meantime, too many things happened during these days.. One of the most pleasant surprises is beloved Sukumar ji back again in FB. Welcome back Sukumar ji. Then there was a grand book launch of Sujit da. Congratulations Sujit da. I could make out it was grand show :). However, I also missed the opportunity to convey my best wishes to friends whose birthday was celebrated during this time. Some friends also had good news in their family- son or daughter getting married, a baby coming with infinite happiness and hope. Recently the eldest and one of the most respected journalists of our state Jiten Paul expired. He was 102 years. He was a freedom fighter and he had launched Tripuras first newspaper Jagaran. I was flooded with condolence messages, some even called me personally. They all mistook me as his son. Actually, Jiten das sons name is also Manas Paul and he is senior to me. There were several friend requests some are known to me personally , some unknown. I checked the unknown ones and found one came from a faceless character whose profile pic claims his heart is in flames and thus most deadly weapon on earth. That sounds interesting indeed. His home page postings- which were not many ( and his entry is new in the FB) gives me a feeling that he is a confirmed Maoist or at least a hardcore Maoist sympathizer. If he is so, perhaps, he is not aware of the fact I firmly believe Maoists are a serious menace. Or may be he is aware of the fact that I try to keep tracks of Maoist developments. Or may be my name just crept in his page. I am not sure whether I should accept him. Fact is I usually do not accept friendship who hide their face or seek to remain incognito in FB, except the ones I know personally. During my absence from FB I finished two books. Revenge Reconciliation by Rajmohan Gandhi. The book was gifted to me by my friend Bharat C. Jain....The other was -The Quest For C : Mansfield Cumming and the Founding of the Secret Service by Alan Judd. This is huge book on how the MI6 was formed etc. I had it for long and also gone through with passing glimpses in the past. But this time I read it with all interest.
