After being at the post office since 10:00am this morning, the guy who works at the post office came out and informed me that I couldnt be there collecting signatures for our petition drive, and asked me to leave. I politely refused, stating that I was standing on tax-payer property. He yanked my sign off of where I had it affixed. He then got on the phone with his supervisor. 20 mins later, a very nice police man came and asked me to leave. He said if I didnt leave, hed have to put me in jail. The Rebel in me wanted to go to jail. The chicken in me didnt want to spend Christmas Eve in jail. But Ill be double damned if I dont file a complaint with the local authorities over this!!!!!!! (oh, and watch to the very end, for the irony of it all!! SHEEEEESH!!)
