After countless cringe-worthy gaffes and nonsensical utterances on the campaign trail, it looks like my opponent is dodging the press and refusing to answer questions about his lack of knowledge on basically every issue. Now his handlers are hiding him from view until Election Day hoping that he wont get asked any of those tough gotcha questions like name one issue that you disagree with Bill de Blasio on? and what are your opinions on U.S. foreign policy? As the Staten Island Advance wrote today in endorsing me: [Mr. Recchia]s campaign has consisted almost entirely of attacks on Mr. Grimm. Thats undoubtedly because he doesnt bring much else to the table....When asked specific questions, Mr. Recchia offers canned catch-phrases on which he does not elaborate. He says merely that he believes in working together with other officials to get things done, but never explains how.
