After dealing with the U.S embassy in Cameroon, one would generally leave very disappointed because of the poor service, disrespect and racially motivated manner in which the consular officers treat our fellow Cameroonian citizens. Appointment times are not respected and sometimes blatant errors are made to the detriment of Cameroonian citizens and these are never corrected. There is absolutely no transperency and these consular officers are given way to much authority to take decisions which are sometimes wrong and very detrimental. Who do these consular officers answer to? What is their training? Why do they have final say? Why arent there any remedies or appeal rights? Why, why, why? So many questions and yet, no concrete responses or fixes. Quite disappointing. At best, this embassy ought to be shut down and the system corrected immediately. Such a system is bound to fail.
