After eight days of thunderstorms, the IRBs were back on the Hawkesbury River, in threatening skies, with a team from The Croft. Upstream from the freeway bridge was covered, with popular sites including the Twin Beaches, Bar Island, Fishermans Point, Parramatta wreck and Milson Passage, cleaned or monitored. Minor litter was recovered from Twin Beaches, the camp-sites were in good condition. Plastic bottles and floating litter was recovered from the entire foreshore of Bar Island. A large tub and oyster tray was hauled out, with a big double bed mattress, left on the foreshore, due to its weight. Small plastic items were recovered from the Parramatta Wreck, with plenty of smaller litter recovered from Milson Passage. Plenty of foreshore covered, and with all the work completed over the past year, only small items and monitoring tasks should need to be covered. Good effort by the Croft team. Five bags and some bulk left at Rob Moxhams.
