After finally watching through the first five episodes, as I watched (my favorite) Return of the Jedi, some memories and other things came to mind: Jedi was the first movie I remember watching that when the credits rolled, I felt sad that there was nothing more to watch and live with these characters. Whether I was an actual bounty hunter or just pretending to be one, an approval nod from Boba Fett would give me chills. My heart would probably skip a beat if I were in Leias boots. Probably my favorite start to a Star Wars film, mostly because the music alone when Vaders shuttle approaches the Death Star. I remember watching it once with Kaylee Lambert Dunn (while eating corn dogs...random memory) and as the Star Destroyer looms into the top of the screen, she just involuntarily starts mimicking it with her hands over her head in a V shape coming down. I actually dont mind the changes in any of the films after watching them aside from one. One that I didnt expect to cause any emotion was Vaders last No! Before (spoiler! ;P) sacrificing himself. I actually got chills hearing it. I dont mind the Ewoks blinking eyes. I dont mind the dance number in Jabbas Palace (never did). The one change that I. Will. Not. Abide in is Hayden Christensen at the end. We JUST saw Vaders aged face. It looks nothing like his young face. Last thing, Methuselah is the Yoda of the Old Testament. If youre a Star Wars Christian, youll know what I mean ;). Thats all for now and all who cared to make it through this whole thing.
