After looking at the millionth No Crackers post heres my two - TopicsExpress

After looking at the millionth No Crackers post heres my two cents. Yes, bursting crackers causes loud noises, and yes, it also causes pollution. But I am not stopping! Why? Because I am sick & tired of this apologetic tone Hindus have started taking on every festival! Dont play with colours on Holi because water is precious Guess what? One day does not make a huge difference. Stop enjoying long baths and showers. Take bucket bath to save water on a daily basis. Stop wasting paper. It saves both water and trees. Stop washing your cars. Dont burst crackers have a green Diwali Dont burst crackers on New Years Day and when India wins cricket matches. Dont burst crackers when election results are announced. If you personally dont want to do something I completely get it. But kindly stop the sermons adapting a holier than thou attitude & trying to make others feel guilty for celebrating the festivals the way they want to. I will burst crackers. And it is nobodys business but mine.
