After ranting barefaced lies on my character, I withdraw my membership with SWAL My love and contributions to SWAL over the years are replete. Hover, with the latest calculated and malicious attack on my character by the young SWAL leadership, I have elected to suspend my membership with the Association during the epoch of the Roland Mulbah led administration. I have associated with the Sports Writers Association of Liberia since 1997 to present. Over the period, I have served in many capacities: Secretary General in 1999, president in 2001, member of the intellectual committee in 2009 and now member of the constitutional review committee (according the Roland Mulbah) in 2014. Besides serving in positions, I have made other contributions not worth mentioning in this public piece. The fact remains that some SWAL members feel the way to equal and surpass ones history is by destroying his past in spite of my role. I will not name people who since taken over the LFA PR in March 2010 have persistently attacked my person instead of the issues. I am fully aware that my position to temporary turn my back on SWAL would affect my job as LFA PR. However, I have done my calculations and I can live with the outcome of my position. I term the SWAL boycott using my name as malicious and ill-fated for two reasons: 1. The young leadership failed to exercise patience when they complained to me that Police Victor Gboyah had stopped some SWAL members from entering the hall while the program was ongoing. I said to them give me just a few minutes for the conclusion of the speech of the most reverent company at the Congress (CAF VP Almamy Kabele Camara representing FIFA and CAF as observer) to conclude. As per the program sheet, the official opening was bound for a break after his speech. Malcolm Joseph, who sat on my right at the moment, is a living testimony. 2. I was mastering the Congress and did have the facts relating the incident at the gate, where Gboyah was accused of restraining some accredited reporters. I later informed president Bility (after Kabeles speech) to announce that all journalists with passes should be allowed if they werent and also went to a mini entertainment certer later where the reporters had assembled and boiling to beg them to return to the hall (photographer Ahmed Jalazo carried me there and helped to plead). For more evidence, the entire Congress was live on Truth FM 96.1. With these facts, a SWAL release quotes me as saying that the journalists are insignificant beats my imagination. The first time I heard this allegation was on Farbric radio on Monday March 24, 2014 when Trojan Kiazolu reluctantly told the lie to his colleague Kelvin Demey. I was shocked. Later I read it in a SWAL release, signed by my own Kolubah Zayzay (whom I kept a special pass for, due to his late arrival at the Congress in Buchanan). I dont mind the attitude of VP Moses Gazawu and president Roland Mulbah (who are currently calling people like EC Sheba Brown to slander my person) due to their record of egotism. Their attitude to murmur to reporters who were recording on stage and physically pulling their shirts off stage (former president Fombah Kanneh, Trojan Kiazolu, Sylvester Worwee, Leroy Sonpon and others are living testimonies) was enough to prove their premeditated action. Really, Kolubah and Trojans part of this fairytale is my surprise. Since joining mainstream media in 1996, I have built my character honestly over the years: ELBC, Group of 77 (office of the wife of Liberias vice president), Press Union, General Auditing Commission and others. I am not in pursuit of public contest nor public sentiment like my detractors would love to..... I remain steadfast and resolute to service my creator and my inner being. My membership with PUL is enough until this regime can constitutionally fold, irrespective of the duration.
