After seeing Nawaz Sharifs speech I realize that he really is living in a place where time has come to a standstill circa 1999. He is still misquoting facts and figures that are a matter of public record. People have more access to information, and can dig through raw data and assess what the numbers are and where they came from. He is saying he is open to talks, yet never mentioned that at any time during the past 14 months. Hes saying that this is not a monarchical set up, yet ministers and key posts are all occupied by people related to him. He is agreeing people have the constitutional right to protest, yet he has blocked all exits and entry points to the cities with shipping containers and has created an artificial fuel shortage, mobilized police and army, and imposed Section 144 that prohibits public gathering. More than anything, he has not spoken to his countrymen, his so called mandate, until people have decided to hold him accountable for the mandate he is so proud of!! And 2 days before the Long March... Baray jaldi khayal aya hai!! ;) So yes, while I feel PTI can definitely manage things better with this whole Long March business ... Noon has been nothing but lies and (proven) corruption. The question is shall we believe NS again? Has he proved any time within the past 14 months that things are different and his priorities are different? And if things have not changed since they came to power, why would the next 4 years be different? And if the next 4 years are no different, why would 2018 elections be different? Its a perpetual cycle of corruption unless these guys are pressured enough to either perform, or give way to those that are willing to!!
