After spending a fantastic day at Hostfest yesterday, I am feeling inspired, invigorated, and proud to be an American. (And yes...a bit chatty as evidenced by all my facebook posts in the past few hours....lol.) During the Diamond Rio concert, lead singer Marty Roe announced all of the members of the band were believers in the Lord before singing In God We Still Trust. (for which the band received a standing ovation.) Great song. I will confess that sometimes I get bogged down in the daily struggles that come my way, and sometimes doing the right thing puts me in a very lonely position. In addition to the work and personal challenges come news stories about horrors and atrocities around the world. But you know what.....this song reminded me that my daily struggles are blessings from God that make me a stronger and better person, and even though there are times I feel all alone when standing firm on an issue or situation, I am never alone.....my Lord and Savior is always walking beside me....even carrying me at times. And I dont care what anyone says, the United States of America is still the greatest nation in the history of the world, and the reason is because God is with us, despite our shortcomings. Even, and especially, when things seem bad or hopeless. Oh my.....could go on and on...our God is a great God. Our country is a great country. God bless the U.S.A. youtube/watch?v=_PLwsDvaURY
