After spending the whole winter indoors, last week I week I attended an open debate organised by the Irish Congress of Trade Unions re the cuts they are planning to implement here and quite frankly its proper scary what theyre gonna do and even people in the private sector said so. Also, N Ireland would not survive without what we call the third sector i e voluntary workers who donate an extraordinary amount of their time and skills, caring for those in the community who need support without earning a shekel for their work and dedication. But Ive interviewed enough politicians to know that what they fear the most is not being re-elected and they can and do change a policy if their power is threatened. So let your elected representative, wherever you live, that we aint taking more Tory cuts. We have a voice and if we make enough noise, we will be damn well heard. End of!
