After talking to a dear friend today about climate change: My thoughts for the day are, the planet, and the poor people on low lying islands or flood plains with no money to move, deserve that... 1- If you do not yet recycle make a New Years resolution to do so 2- switch your electricity supplier to Good Energy 3- Use Ecover household products ... They work just as well (all except the toilet cleaner) and are not overpriced, there are alway special offers on them 4- buy MSC labelled fish only 5- do not waste food, you can use scraps and bones to make soup 6- turn off your lights (low energy bulbs) and appliances when not using them, only boil the amount of water in the kettle that you need 7- do not leave the tap running when doing your teeth 8- put draught excluders on any doors or windows that need it If you can do more, great, but the above are so so easy. You might think that it wont make much difference but residential homes are a HUGE part of the problem, a difference can only be made if we ALL care. More if you can: 9- turn your heating down by 1 degree 10- insulate your home properly 11- put a brick in your toilet cistern 12- get involved in womens rights charities to help in countries where the birth rates are high SHARE THIS MESSAGE WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE WITH ONE CLICK.
