After talking to the minister today , I find out that as such, the building is not under threat of demolition ! . Thje real problem is illustrated by some of these photos , its Bums on seats . The congregation has dwindled to 10, and the chapel needs a congregation . Its ok for us to lament this chapel but the truth is it is massively under used and the one thing that any chapel needs to stay viable, is a congregation. we could get a heritage fund going but the chapel frankly doesnt need it, as of now ! its only when the chapels owners decide to close it that monetary assistance would be of use, to save the building and the organ , which as I understand needs £10,000 spending on it . The one thing that I cant do anything about is the people and the bums on seats . As the old parishioners pass on , the chapel passes into bull dozer territory and we lose it for ever.
