After the fancy boardroom meetings in Mumbai we went straight to exploring the 3rd world parts of India. It spawned a new idea that is the $1.00 version of my $100.00 charity backpacks from Model Citizen Fund. Instead of 150 items inside, its 10 items that are all a few cents each like rice, water cup, wet nap, raisin box, nuts, honey, saltine crackers & a toothbrush that are built into a durable cardboard plate. If you have any ideas, suggestions, comments, please feel free to chime in, Ive already started our charity warehouse ball rolling on looking into manufacturing/shipping costs and which items can be procured to keep it under $1.00 out the door. If can add a pair of socks, tuna, gum or beans into the Care Plates we will.
