After todays first match for the Rectory Rovers myself and my coach Mark Dempster were very very happy with the effort, the never say die attitude that our players adopted today vs a very good Newpark Olympic. When we went down 2-0 I still had faith in my players to fight , but fight they did , to get back to 2-2 and to have also a goal dissallowed , only to concede , and to then score again with a wonder strike from my club capt Paul Donegan, mind you he was listening to the boss , shoot if you think its on lol. We then gave a good account in the 2nd half , we scored again with big Mo Telford grabbing 2 pens , expertly taken lol, but we then had another stone wall goal dissallowed ....so all in all we know , and newpark even said so , that we will be very hard to cope with in the 3rd division , many thanks to all your support , and roll on weds night v t patrick .
